And deserve more attention.

20-25% total rate in, for the large part, a mostly developed and safe European country, it’s a good deal.

It’s also not one of these cases where you either fall into some “super special and temporary” tax regime (to pay 20-25%, or even 30%+, in case like Portugal or Spain or Italy), or you’re faced with 40%+.

It’s flexible to basically all ways in which you might want to structure your incomes.

It’s a place with a lot of charm, incredible history, beautiful landscapes, awesome food and great weather.

It’s far from perfect, obviously:

  • Athens is the only major city

  • Athens can be fairly dirty and not so safe in some areas

  • Island and small town life lacks good quality infra (but still workable for some)

But, it can be very interesting, for those considering:

  • Mediterranean Big city without the taxes of Naples, Marseille or Barcelona

  • “Berlin but sunny”

Worth keeping it into considerations.

IMO, it can be a solid option for many.
